Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick have voiced their concerns about the lack of morale in the Manchester United dressing room.

“[They] came to me and said the dressing room is flat,” said Van Gaal.

“We want to say that to you because we want to help you.”
