TEAM NEWS: Vidic starts for Manchester United at Swansea

Nemanja Vidic has returned to Manchester United’s starting line-up for Sunday’s Premier League clash at Swansea.

The Serb has not started a match for Sir Alex Ferguson’s table-toppers since September after undergoing knee surgery.

Jonny Evans also returns to the United defence, following a hamstring problem, replacing Rio Ferdinand – who drops out of the matchday squad entirely.

The Red Devils are otherwise unchanged so Phil Jones continues at right-back, while Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney are again paired in attack.

Michael Laudrup has also made two changes to the side beaten at Tottenham last week.

Michel Vorm has recovered from a groin injury and replaces Gerhard Tremmel, who had been deputising in goal for the past eight league fixtures. Kemy Agustien also comes in for Ki Sung-Yueng in midfield.

Swansea XI: Vorm; Tiendalli, Chico, Williams, Davies; Britton, Agustein; Dyer, De Guzman, Routledge; Michu.

Subs: Tremmel, Graham, Monk, Shechter, Moore, Sung-Yeung, Richards.

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Jones, Evans, Vidic, Evra; Cleverley, Carrick; Valencia, Rooney, Young; Van Persie.

Subs: Lindegaard, Buttner, Fletcher, Giggs, Scholes, Hernandez, Welbeck.
