Young is fit to face Everton, says Ferguson

The Scot has revealed his winger could return against the Toffees and played down worries over Phil Jones after the defender suffered from shingles earlier this month

Ashley Young has returned to fitness ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Everton this weekend, Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed, while calming fears over Phil Jones who has been overcoming a case of shingles.
Sir Alex also confirmed the fitness of the rest of his international stars, but admitted he has not yet spoken to Chicharito who played for Mexico on Wednesday.

United host the Toffees this weekend with last season’s 4-4 draw in the respective fixture costing the current table-toppers the title last term, according to the Scot.

“Everton are very experienced and they’ve only lost three games this season,” he told reporters.

“Our memory of last season is disappointing – we lost the title versus Everton!

“But we’re playing well, I’m pleased with our form. I’m changing the team around and everyone who has played has done well, which creates competition.”
