Under the guidance of David Moyes for the majority of a disastrous campaign, Manchester United slumped to their lowest-ever Premier League finish and relinquished the title without a fight.
United registered their lowest-ever points total in the Premier League and have, as a result, failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 1995.
Part of United’s failure this term can be attributed to their mediocre home record. Only 29 goals were scored at Old Trafford this season, their lowest since the Premier League started, while the club slipped to seven defeats at their own ground.
Surprisingly, United have conceded the same amount of goals as last season and faced 32 fewer shots than in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final year in charge.
