Manchester City players warmed-up for their title showdown with Liverpool with a team-bonding meal at a Chinese restaurant on Tuesday.

Wives and girlfriends were also present at Wings in Manchester, as the players discussed what they had been through this season and what they will face at Anfield, with both sides battling to be crowned Premier League champions this season.

And the City stars are clearly trying to stay relaxed ahead of the crunch meeting at Anfield.

Skipper Vincent Kompany, who is an injury doubt for the game after breaking down in training, Fernandinho, Edin Dzeko, Samir Nasri and Aleksandar Kolarov were all in a private box at the Manchester Arena the following night to watch Justin Timberlake perform.

Adnan Januzaj has spent most of this season lifting his Manchester United team-mates off the floor with the club languishing in seventh place in the table.

But the midfield sensation is now getting his own back by grabbing lifts to the club’s Carrington training complex most days of the week.

Despite all the temptations and the array of fancy motors owned by his team-mates, the talented 19-year-old has refused to splash out on a luxury car himself.

Januzaj instead prefers the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Robin van Persie to pick him up on the way to training, with a United source revealing: “Adnan even has his dates pick him up!”
