Savage joined the Reds as a youth player aged just nine and has been with the United Academy ever since.

He signed his first professional deal with the club in 2021 and was handed his senior debut for the Reds on 8 December the same year, coming on as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League match against Young Boys.

Last season, Charlie made 17 appearances for United’s Under-21s, in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy, scoring one goal.
