The club has a history of producing its own talents, coming from the Academy through to the senior team, and manager Erik ten Hag has already shown his eagerness to continue that tradition this season. 

Most recently young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo was handed his senior debut in the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Charlton, while Alejandro Garnacho’s role is continuing to grow under the Dutchman.

Maguire has always been keen to take on the responsibility of helping our buddying young prospects, and has underlined the importance of doing so, particularly as club captain.
