The defender makes his fourth appearance in the side this season, with Everton trio Jan Mucha, Seamus Coleman & Leon Osman starring after victory over Manchester City
After earning a recall to the England national team last week, Rio Ferdinand continued his impressive form in Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Reading on Saturday to earn his fourth appearance in our XI this season.
The victory, sealed by Wayne Rooney’s deflected first-half strike, puts the Red Devils 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League table after Manchester City fell to defeat away to Everton.
Jan Mucha, Seamus Coleman and Leon Osman, who opened the scoring in the 2-0 win at Goodison Park, all star for the Toffees in our TOTW.
Dimitar Berbatov returned to White Hart Lane with Fulham to inflict a 1-0 defeat on Tottenham, a result which could prove detrimental to Spurs’ top four hopes this season. The Bulgarian is joined by team-mate John Arne Riise, who fills in at left-back.
Spurs’ stutter allowed Chelsea to seize the initiative and regain third place with a 2-0 victory at home to West Ham. Eden Hazard is included in our side for the seventh time this campaign after he added to Frank Lampard’s opener – the midfielder’s 200th for the Blues.
Aston Villa and Southampton both secured key victories in their respective bids to beat the drop this season. Andreas Weimann shone for Paul Lambert’s men following the 3-2 win over QPR, while Morgan Schneiderlin once again starred for the Saints as they beat Liverpool 3-1.
Claudio Yacob completes our midfield line-up after impressing in West Brom’s goalless stalemate with Stoke, while Michael Turner helped Norwich to a 1-1 draw against former club Sunderland and rounds off the XI at centre-back.
Goalkeepers Brad Guzan and Mark Schwarzer are both unfortunate not to take the No.1 jersey this week, while John Heitinga and Santi Cazorla also just miss the cut.
